Associate Creative Director

You will play a central role in shaping the creative vision for multiple clients of the agency and contribute to developing the big ideas that will guide our campaigns. You will work closely with the Creative, Writing and Strategy, and Client Services teams to design innovative and impactful brand experiences. You will oversee the development of creative concepts for a variety of projects (integrated campaigns and digital platforms) while ensuring the consistency and quality of the work delivered. Together with the Creative Director, you will supervise the creative work of employees assigned to your accounts and play a significant role in their professional development.
Skills
- Excellence in oral presentations and storytelling
- Team spirit and leadership, facilitating collaboration between various departments (Client Services, Digital Services, Writing and Strategy Services)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, XD, and email creation platforms
- Ability to manage time and priorities
- Stay up to date with the evolution of digital tools and artificial intelligence
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in an advertising agency
- Experience in client presentations and pitches in the pharmaceutical marketing industry
- Experience in supervising and mentoring creative teams
- Experience in social media content production
- Portfolio of projects
- General interest in science
- Bilingual (French and English), written and spoken (predominantly Anglophone clientele)
Main responsibilities
- Validate, analyze, and improve creative briefs and communicate expectations to creative teams
- Understand each client's strategic objectives and the rules governing pharmaceutical advertising in Canada, so as to deliver a creative product adapted to the healthcare market
- Develop and maintain project guidelines, objectives, and priorities in a creative manner, while rigorously adhering to pharmaceutical advertising standards in a highly regulated environment
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop concepts and organize brainstorming sessions
- Present designs to clients and share their vision; contribute actively to creative dialogue
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and the Creative and Strategy teams
- Establish and guide internal and external teams to effectively carry out projects while adhering to budgets
- In collaboration with the Strategy team, develop creative and strategic client presentations, and effectively present with ease and solid rationale (storytelling)
- Supervise voices, talent during filming or recording
- Contribute to the company’s business development by participating in pitches, promoting the recruitment of new clients, and contributing to the organic growth of active accounts
- Monitor creative trends and share information with the team
- Participate in digital projects to validate and enrich the artistic direction in terms of UX/UI
- Understand the performance indicators related to digital projects: KPIs, engagement rates, A/B testing, creative performance, etc.
- Interpret, analyze, and/or question web/social media data with the Strategy and Media team
- Simplify and improve work methods to increase efficiency, quality of deliverables, and collaboration between teams
- Collaborate with art directors to assess workload, adjust priorities, and ensure balanced task distribution
- Provide ongoing support to creative talent to foster their development, encourage autonomy, and maintain high creative standards
